Job Summary

In the last eighteen years, Worldwide FX has become one of the premier visual effects houses in Europe with more than 170 visual artists, dedicated to creating top-notch visual effects armed with the latest technology available in computer graphics.
Our major film credits include "Hellboy", "Hitman's Bodyguard", "Hunter Killer", “London Has Fallen”, “Criminal”, ”Rambo”, “Olympus Has Fallen”, “Automata”, “The Expendables” (film series), “The Legend of Hercules”, “Conan”, among many others to which our skillful team added a high standard visual marvel.
We have exciting new projects coming our way and we are looking for:


Our R&D department produces innovative technology which allows us to meet the needs of both current and future projects. They collaborate closely with our artists to ensure they have the technology to work their magic, as well as developing tools which will keep our studio at the forefront of VFX production.

Major Duties

• Tackle problems without clear-cut solutions;
• Collaborate with our team to develop cutting edge animation components that interact with networked, physics, and other gameplay objects;
• Develop technology to address production requirements;
• Contribute to the design and development of CG software which is required cross-shows;
• Work alongside our other R&D developers to ensure that new tools fit within our existing software systems;
• Work closely with CG supervisors to ensure that production needs are being met;
• Support, and collaborate with, our artists.


• Development experience with C++;
• Good algorithms and data optimizations skills;
• Strong mathematics skills;
• Knowledge in Physics, Computer Science or Computer Graphics;
• Some knowledge of key VFX application APIs - Maya, Katana, Houdini and/or Nuke will be considered an advantage;
• Knowledge of animation systems such as:Muscular deformation, Facial animation, Cloth + Hair simulation and animation, Special Effects animation, Physics-driven animation is a plus;
• Knowledge of OpenCL/CUDA/C++AMP/other GPGPU language environment is a plus;
• A pragmatic approach to solving complex programming/production issues;
• The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who can work through a problem from start to finish;
• Good verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently or within a group, and work with minimal supervision.
