Our team led by our VFX Supervisor Vesselina Hary Georgieva completed exactly 1203 shots (out of a total of 1310) for “The Hitman’s Wife Bodyguard”.
Our work included creating complicated environments, animation, and simulation.
It was a fulfilling challenge to work on such diverse tasks as CG ocean and underwater environment, CG doubles, CG bridge and industrial port environment, subway, and various set extensions.
And the various animation and simulation work (mostly destroying assets previously built) just added to the fun experience.
“This is my second movie working with Patrick Hughes as director”, shares Vesselina Georgieva. “He is brilliant, very creative, and open-minded. It’s a real pleasure to work with him.”
One of the biggest challenges though was working under Covid 19 restrictions. The Hitman’s Wife Bodyguard was one of the first movies we had to work on and deliver during the pandemic – the artists were still getting used to working remotely, while the VFX SV was spending most of her time during postproduction on conference calls and online meetings.
“The Hitman’s Bodyguard” (2021) is directed by Patrick Hughes and is starring Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek Pinault.
